Construction work begins on new facility
Tilbury Douglas has started work on a new foetal medicine unit for Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust.
The facility will provide screening services for pregnant women, including those who have previously had a pregnancy with foetal abnormalities or have issues with their current pregnancy.
The scheme will also enable the trust to upgrade its imaging department, with works set to be completed by the end of this year.
The appointment of Tilbury Douglas comes after its completion of the Liverpool Women’s Hospital neonatal unit in 2020.
Commenting on the new development, Phil Shaw, divisional director for the North West at Tilbury Douglas, said: “We are really pleased to start work on this vitally-important project which will enhance neonatal provision across the Liverpool region.”
